William Alfred Smith (Brother Al) was born the second of six children. He is a product of Richmond City Schools (1947), Virginia Union University (1955) and Howard University School of Law (1958). He served four years in the United States Air Force in the field of radio intelligence. He is humbley proud of being a founder of Citizens Boys Club in Hampton (now part of Hampton Roads Boys and Girls Clubs). He retired from his law practice in 1995. He is a more than 40-year member of Men's Star Bible Class and has been affiliated with the Radio Prayer Partner Ministry about 25 years. He retired from his law practice in 1995. He now teaches the International Sunday School lesson for RPPM on WTJZ 1270 AM each Wednesday at 5 A.M. and each third Saturday at 6 A.M.
